This project develops methodologies for interrogating resonant phenomena within the bodies and surfaces of buildings, musical instruments and the human body, following previous Constructions which have focussed almost entirely on the reflected component of sound in space.
At the time of the upgrade, I am in the process of making a number of sonic ‘exciters’ which will interface with a prepared surface. The exciters will be activated by sonic inputs, in the form of a musical composition that is tuned to the resonant potential of the surface and exciters.
